These tend to be classes for adults. Does anybody know any resources for ESL kids/youth, esp. in summer?

These are all adult classes. There is one your program for 16-20 year olds PCC MAP (Multicultural Academic Program)
and on Church in WA Co. that has classes for children during the year, but not during the summer http://www.sunsetpres.org/content.cfm?id=2107
Does anyone else know of others for kids/youth?

Ecumenical Ministries, Lutheran Community Services, and IRCO might have some programs for refugee kids:

I'm not sure if SUN schools will have summer programs, but maybe:

I think this is a wonderful page; so glad the folks in Portland got organized with it. There is such a tremendous need for classes and now you have compiled the information in a useful format. I added information about Hood River and Wasco County ESOL sponsored by Columbia Gorge Community College in case any one is in a position to make the drive east of Portland or has plans to relocate.

Thanks for an amazing resource for the community! My suggestion is to add K-12 information. That way immigrant & refugee families and their advocates will be able to ensure that children are getting the ESL services that the public schools are required to provide to English Language Learners. Information about identification, placement, annual assessments, instruction and exiting might be useful. I'm a public school ESL teacher, and I'd be happy to help! The more the ESL community supports local schools and children the better!
