K-5 public school interview literacy lesson -PSU MA TESOL student Allison Tomas developed a 4 lesson unit for adult beginning ESL students who do not have very much educational experience in their native language or in a language in which they are proficient.  Generally these learners do not have literacy in any language.  The 4 lessons are to help learners understand the american K-5 education system and the roles that parents may play, including things like attending parent-teacher conferences, giving permission for field trips, volunteering, etc.  The unit includes lesson plans and all materials.  https://sites.google.com/a/pdx.edu/k-5-public-school-overview-for-esl-parents/home
